usedocs.app (“we”, “us”) provides an AI support widget trained on your documentation. This policy describes what data we process when you use our hosted service.
Data we collect
- Account data: email address, name, and workspace membership when you sign in.
- Bot configuration: knowledge sources, widget settings, and allowed origins you configure.
- Conversation data: visitor messages, bot replies, confidence scores, and optional lead emails your visitors submit.
- Technical data: IP address (for abuse prevention), browser locale/timezone when visitors submit leads, and standard request logs.
- Website analytics: on our marketing site we use Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID
G-DGX6HJBYQD) to understand page traffic. GA4 sets cookies such as_gaonly if you click Accept on our cookie banner. You can change your choice anytime by clearing site data for usedocs.app in your browser. Opt out of Google Analytics globally with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
How we use data
We use your data to operate the service: authenticate you, index your docs, answer visitor questions, surface content gaps, and prevent abuse. We do not sell personal data.
Retention
Conversation messages are pruned after 90 days. Content-gap records after 180 days. Closed conversations after one year. You may export or delete your data at any time (see below).
Your rights
- Export: workspace owners can call

Sub-processors
We run on Cloudflare (Workers, D1, R2, Vectorize, Workers AI). Payment processing (when enabled) is handled by our merchant-of-record partner.
